getting your domain registered

You retain ownership of your domain until the end of its registration period unless you choose to not renew the domain. As long as you renew the domain on an annual or multi-year basis, you will own the domain name. Hundreds of new domain extensions are available for registration, making the search for the perfect domain name even easier. You may still have to jump through flaming hoops to get your domain transferred out, so it’s typically recommended to leave it where it is, unless that registrar is very poor. When a domain is in Pending Delete Phase, no one is allowed to renew the domain and it cannot be yet registered because it’s still not returned to the public domain pool. Simply type in the domain name you have in mind, click Enter and watch as the available domain extensions appear before your eyes.

Register that domain name while you are thinking about it and it's still available. Contrary to popular belief, all the good ones are NOT gone.
